That is so true. My partner and hubby chuckles because people calling in refer to him as Mr. Robin (our identities blended--both in real life and in real estate!). When I read our blogging buddies posts, I identify with their on screen personas. It was fun to be able to match the person with the persona at the REBarcamp and the Inman Connect Conference. BTW, Mom and Dad are truly the sweetest names of all on or off screen. And I can tweet and twitter about that all day long!

Robin-
Wasn't that the absolute best? I'm so much more than "The Mortgage Man" but I still smile everyday when I look at the card on my desk. They were the hit of ReBarCamp as well as the big show.

Here's my Interview with Gia: http://www.realseekr.com/default.asp?page=blog&v=viewpost&id=253

And the entire interview series: http://mikemueller.suburban-renewal.com/?p=73

Social Media is all about creating connections. A screen name, a twitter ID, or any persona is just a way to connect to the real person behind it.

In some real estate circles I've been referred to as "Motorcycle Mike". I'm ok with that as long as we connect.

By far my favorite persona has to be either "Hubby" or "Dad" :)
